Klein & MBO - More dirty talk (1982)

This is a real classic - one of the Italian electro disco tracks that made HOUSE possible. It is the remix from the original "Dirty Talk". It is hard to create a groovier and more timeless record than this one. ;)

The Twins - Not the loving kind (1983)

Cool 80s video of this German duo that produced some real hits back then. This is my favorite song. On the 12 inch, you have great Dub mix.

Body Electric - Magic electronic (1984)

Wow, wow, wow!!! This is an absolutly ace-track! Italo influenced electro sound or electro influenced italo sound. Call it as you want to. The track only appeared originally as 7" in 1984 and you have to invest around 100 Euros and more to catch it.

In 2009 the song has been reissued by Moustache Records from the Netherlands with the original 7"-version plus some very nice extended versions. The release must be an official one 'cause it has been arranged by Flemming Dalum together with the original producer of the track named Steen Gjerulff. Thanks to both - now you can get a copy for less money.

Mac Jr. - Elephant song (instrumental) (1984)

I think that's also a mostly unknown and underrated Italo-song. Only nerds and collectors know this wonderful track. Here is featured the instrumental version you can find on the B-side. But you even can listen to the vocal version.

The Robot Scientists - Musica da Batticuore 14 - Obscure Synth Disco Classics Mix

Amici, it took a long long time...endless weeks....but these days, the legendary THE ROBOT SCIENTISTS announced the release of their 14th "Musica da Batticuore" mix of ultra-obscure underground electro disco, italo disco, cosmic disco, space disco classics from the late 70s and early 80, spiced up with some recent nudisco tracks worth checking out. Again, they only used vinyl records and mixed them live with their two Technics 1210 turntables and Pioneer mixer.

I listened to this mix twice now, it definitely is one of their top 3 mixes so far - let me add here that all 14 are simply brilliant, lightyears ahead of all commercial mix compilations for this genre. The density of amazing tracks on every one of these mixtapes is so high that they are apt to implode in a black hole.

MDB 14 is something any music fan needs to have heard: a timeless testimonial of the greatness of these overseen synth / electro disco tracks from the days when "Disco" funk music ruled the "Discotheques" and the first synthesizers for home use were used by mostly amateur producers to create synthetic dance music. There was a load of crap out there, but The Robot Scientists are excellent in digging out the real gems. Many early House and Techno producers were influenced by this kind of stuff, although even to them, most of these tracks definitely were not known. A tribute to the secret geniuses, that is, Musica da Batticuore 14. Simply put: amazing.

K.I.D. - DON'T STOP (1981)

This is a nice synth disco burner produced by Geoff Bastow who did a lot synth tracks back in the old days. Enjoy, this is a perfect cosmic disco track, it's all in there.

Rude 66 - As (2008)

Ciao! Oggi, I have a very dark track for you, composed by the board computer of a lost spaceship, bored, all alone in the middle of the galaxy, sending funky signals of melancholy. Hardcore space disco. I love it.

Jonathan Gable - Central park (1985)

It's not from THAT year '83 but nevertheless it's a very nice italo gem - and you also can listen to the vocals. That's quite remarkable :-)
