Hot R.S. - House of the rising sun (1977)

"HOT R.S. stands for House Of The Rising Sun.
It was the name of a faceless disco-rock studio band from Johannesburg, South-Africa. Their first album released in 1977 featured a 14 minutes plus disco-rock reworking of the classic House of The Rising Sun, made famous by the Animals (1964)." (this is what "Discogs" says)

Music still is disco but has a very nice and driving bassline and a verrrry sexy female voice. On the B-side the song "Delta queen" is featured that I've already posted here in the blog.
Also the sleeve is very sexy.

The Hasbeens - Make the world go away (2008)

Italo is still alive and it comes back with songs like this. It's produced by the Dutch men Alden Tyrell and DJ Overdose who are very big in this business.

Love the vocoder and the massive synths. The mood of the track is a bit sad and dark.

BTW: Nice video from the movie "Tron" made back in 1982 - the beginning of the Italo-era.

Munich Machine - La nuit blanche (1978)

Wow!!! Here you can hear who is behind the "Munich machine". There can be no doubt:

The great GIORGIO MORODER in cooperation with Pete Bellotte. The track is taken from the album "A whiter shade of pale".

C.M.D.B. - Let's get it together (1984)

The song has a kind of strange story. C.M.D.B. is an alias of the more known project "Digital Emotion" that has been running sucsessfully by the Dutch producers Adams & Fleisner. The version I've posted down below is the single version from "Let's get it together" and was released on the B-side of the Digital Emotion 12" "Jungle beat" as single-version and under the title "In & out of Africa" in 1986. So you can see that the 12inch has been released two years earlier. Typical Adams & Fleisner sound of this time.

Soif de la vie - Goddess of love (1984)

A 10 minutes high energy killer dance-track. And what the goddess of love is meant to be you can see if you take a look at the picture sleeve :-))

Jamie Principle - Waiting on my angel (Remix) (1985)

That's more early House-style than Italo but I like the synth-bassline and the whole performance of this track. It's remixed by Bob Heckmann who has done some more remixes in that time as well as some own productions from the early until the mid eighties - even a medley of Mike Oldfield.

Klein & MBO - Wonderful (instr.) (1982)

I've already posted some tracks from Klein & MBO but I think this one I've still not. It's produced again by Tony Carrasco - a legend in italo.

Wish Key - Orient express (1983)

Attention, attention ladies and gentlemen!! Please step back - the train is arriving.

And it's coming very fast and powerfull into your ears. I like the Orient express - even the vocals with its typical Italo-English-accent. Wonderfull and funny to listen to. The video shows a live performance.
