Electra feat. Tara Butler - Feels good 1982

Amici, produced by Franco Falsini and Sergio Cossa in 1982, this here is the proof that Italo Disco is "Proto House" and "Proto-so-many-other-dancefloor-styles-that-came-later" - Italo was the blueprint for them all-e! The instrumental dub rocks even harder, so get the vinyl. Turn up the volume! BTW - compare the instrumentals to the 2002 hit from Chicken Lips "He not in"...not sooooo much difference, both are classics!

Brand Image - Are you loving (1983)

Many many people love this gem, at discogs 273 people say they want it. This here is the instrumental version, amazing synths! The Robot Scientists did an edit of the instrumental version, you can listen to it on their myspace page, just select it from their player here.

Sumeria - Cosmic traveller (1977)

This here are two tracks from the amazing Sumeria album Golden tears, it starts off with the amazingly great Cosmic traveler, followed by Somewhere, Elsewhere. Alec R. Costandinos, a very influential producer especially in the 70s, is responsible for all this beauty.

M & G - When I let you down (1986)

Suppperrrr italo track from 1986 (usually a year without real electro disco classics, but this here, wow!). If you want it on vinyl get the reissue on Skylax. Daaaaance and boogie!

Exclusive The Robot Scientists mix for cosmicdisco.co.uk

Ciao, amici, today I have something special to announce: my friends The Robot Scientists did an amazing job and made an exclusive mix for the best cosmic / italo / electro disco blog in the UK, if not world wide: www.cosmicdisco.co.uk. You can download it from their website. It is packed with recent electro disco monsters to prove that the electro disco dancefloor revolution is soon to come!

Bobby "O" - She has a way (1982)

I am proud to present one of the greatest electro disco tracks ever, maybe even the number one of all time: the amazing Bobby Orlando's "She has a way". This definitely is the best HiNRG track and there is no way to make it any better. Enjoy and dance your asses off!

To make clear how great this track is I took this comment from legrandmixer on youtube:

"One month ago I just played this track at one night club and people crowded the dance floor. It comes to reveal that good music never fade away. Even some young guys asked me who is this man? I said: Bobby Orlando. Thanks."

Radar - China darling 1983

A weird electro disco track from Canada with a nice rolling synth bassline and a cool robotic vocoder chorus - hidden gem!

Travel Sex - Sexiness (1983)

Wow, sexy male and female voices - but even more sexy are the instrumentals of this huge track - as usual.

Video Club - Lost time (1983)

Hey, there is one more classic from magic '83. Here I also like more the instrumental dub-version on the B-side.

Duke Lake - Do you (1983)

Hey, I was lazy some days, so here is another great Zanni&Cundari production for you to party to at the weekend.

Cheaps - Moliendo café (1983)

Hoho, this is one of the great tracks from the awesome early and mid 80s producer duo Alessandro Zanni and Stefano Cundari. As usual, I prefer the instrumental "Over Dub" B-Side which is not available on Youtube, but anyway, enjoy!

Neu! - Hallogallo 1972

The future is 37 years old. It is time for a maximum respect track: Neu!'s "Hallogallo", an amazingly influential "Krautrock" band and track you all should know. It's got nothing to do with disco, but it is very hypnotic and spaced out, so some of you - those who dig guitars - will certainly love it! It is one of my non-disco favorite tracks...

Lime - Angel eyes (Dub) 1984

Lime was a pretty successful electro disco band from Montreal. This here is their best track, followed by "On the grid (Dub)" and "Guilty", the latter being real HiNRG bouncers.

Oppenheimer Analysis - Devil's Dancers 1982

What a great track! Originally released on a tape compilation in 1982 and since then forgotten, it became famous in 2005 when Minimal Wave Rec. put it on vinyl for the first time and then 2008 when the Dutch label Clone re-released it on a 12 inch you should not miss. THIS here rocks every electro dancefloor even in the year 2123 unless they invent some awesome multidimensional sound concept that make stereo sound like shellac until then.

Berlin Blondes - Neon probe 1980

Very far ahead of its time new wave stuff, this here from completely unknown Berlin Blondes. THIS ROCKS!
