Endgames - First-last-for everything (Dub) (1982)

I think that this is not really the dub-version. I know another one that appeared on the "Flip-Records"-label. In every case I think that this title is very underrated. If you wanna hear the version I mean you have to check the "Musica da Batticuore"-mix number three from The Robot Scientists.

Hypnosis - Bormaz (1983)

1983 again... Everybody knows "Oxygene". This one is the B-side. Behind the "Hypnosis"- (or "Hipnosis"-)project are standing the two Italo-legend-producers Stefano Cundari and Allesandro Zanni. Both are well known through the whole scene.
So load your lasergun and listen to "Bormaz".

Freak Electrique - Parsec (2003)

Today I wanna introduce you a project of NuItalo-stuff: Freak Electrique. Behind this name you can find two - I think Dutch - men. The first release is from the year 2003. It's the very epic and powerfull track "P.H.A.S.E.R.". It runs about 17 (!!) minutes. "Parsec" that you can listen to down below is featured on the B-side.

They came back again in 2005 with two other great releases called "Cloud surfer" and "Symphony electrique". This "Symphony" is also an epic work of NuItalo-style and comes in two versions: a long one (also about 17 minutes) and a short one that runs "only" about 8 minutes. The "Cloud surfer" you can find in the "Musica da Batticuore"-mix number two of "The Robot Scientists".

I.M.S. - International Music System (1983/1984)

The first release of I.M.S. was in 1983 with their album "International Music System". It contains two of the best italo tracks I know:

1. Nonline (it's a bit electro-influenced but I although would call it italo)

2. Run away

And then in 1984 they came out with this unbelievable "Dancing therapy". Always highly sought after.

Amin Peck - Girl on me (1982)

Amin Peck at its best. This 12-inch is a legend. Three great tracks from this strange italo-artist.

1. Girl on me

2. Anxiety (sorry, nothing found on youtube)

3. Coda

R.E.M. - Computer communication (1983)

This R.E.M. has nothing to do with the well known guys with all their chart hits like "Losing my religion" or something else.
It's of course an Italo-production from that nobody really knows who is behind the project. The ultralong A-side of the 12-inch (10:57) is a pretty good track but I would prefer the remix on the B-side. The synth-bassline sounds very fat. Check it out in the first "Musica da Batticuore"-mix of "The Robot Scientists". You can find it in their myspace-blog incl. download-link.

Doctor's Cat - Feel the drive (Trans Europe Mix) (1984)

Everybody knows the original version of this very nice Italo-hymn from the year 1983 - what year else. This remix by the great Dutchman Ben Liebrand came in 1984 and I like it a lot.

N.O.I.A. - True love (1984)

Nice Italo-classic. Involved in this production are Mario Flores and Oderso Rubini - besides some other guys. These two men are responsible for some other great productions from the early 80s-italo-era (for example: "The Creatures" or "Kirlian Camera").

Crazy Gang - Every Sunday (1983/2006)

The original track from 1983 is featured on the album "We are the Crazy Gang". This extended edit is an official release from the year 2006 on the "Flexx"-label from Belgium.

Mirage - Woman (1983)

An absolutly Italo-Classic again. Love it this "Woman".

I had to change the video-clip because youtube cancelled the first one. I don't know why. Therefore you have to see this pin-up-boy.

Hovoyds - I don't want to talk about it (instr.) (1983)

That's the B-side of the 12inch where the instrumental version is featured. But you should also check the edited version by "The Robot Scientists". You can find it in the player of their "Myspace". This edit is the best - it has this "spacefly-feeling" these guys represent.

Steel Mind - Bad passion (instr.) (1982)

This instrumental version is one of the best Italo-Electro tracks ever. Very massive synth-lines. Simply great!!

You can get it as the original from 1982 on the Delirium- or the German ZYX-label - or if you don't want to spend so much money as the bootleg from the year 2007.

Mito - Unit (1983)

1983 again - with another Italo-Electro-Classic track including all that an Italo-Electro track needs.

You also can check this track at "The Robot Scientists". They featured it in their first "Musica da Batticuore"-mix you can find in their blog.

G.A.N.G. - KKK (1983)

This track is also a slow one to dream to - and from the great year '83 too.
Try to get the original Italian pressing if you have too much money. Even the German edition on the ZYX-label isn't that cheap.

Telex - Victime de la société (1979)

Taken from the album "Looking for St. Tropez" these three Belgian guys created an melancholical song in a bit "wavy" style. In my opinion the sad mood is also supported by the French language.

July 17, 2009

Gleitzeit - Ich komme aus der DDR 1981

And today for something a little bit different: this here is an amazingly rare and mind-blowing minimal electro track which I love! Play this to your friends and groove!

July 16, 2009

Android - Skydancer (dub) (1986)

This a great track produced in the Netherlands in 1986 by Marc Hartman and Imro van Hetten, awesome!

July 15, 2009

Atmosphere - Swede's Scandal (1983)

Great track by the guys who also did Sun-La-Chan "Catch", one of the biggest italo electro classics.

July 14, 2009

Chilly - Dance With Me 1978

Love it! A classic electro disco floorfiller from the Chilly album - another masterpiece, this time from Munich, the world capital of electro disco! ;)

July 13, 2009

Sphinx - When I'm In Love (1983)

Ups, somebody just told me I had already posted Azoto last year! This is why you get an extra today: this italo smasher here from the Sphinx LP!

Azoto - Exalt exalt (1979)

Really really excellent piece of electro disco from the Celso Valli produced Azoto and their Disco Fizz album - this record is sold every week at ebay once and never goes away for less than 40 USD...a great one! Amazing timeless robotic tune, soooooooo cooooooooolllll! I llove it!

July 10, 2009

S.P. Clan - Get Down (On Love) (1983)

Great electro disco track from 1983 from the excellent DID records label, as usual you can get only some vinyl copies at reasonable prices. The instrumental is pretty spaced out, too.

July 9, 2009

Marzio Dance D.J. - The Adventure (1982)

This here was the opening tune of Disco Xenon in Florence back in 1982/83. Marzio Dance was the resident DJ back then. Later on, there was also a faster remix of this track, even more spaced out than the original! Play this loud!

Friends, I acutally tend to talk about old classics here, but this one is a new classic from the guys behind modeselektor and apparat, enjoy!
