Watch out boys, the girls are back in town, and they want passion! ;) Mind-blowing electronic disco hit who never made it into any charts, but into the setlist of The Robot Scientists for their glamourous Spaced Out Disco club night.

Mamma mia, this is a pretty italo-sounding track from the U.S., a proto-house track by Jesse Saunders, amazing classic!

John Carpenter - Escape from New York Italo Disco Version 1983
Amici dello spazio, this here is a great italo version of the John Carpenter soundtrack for "Escape from New York", in German "Die Klapperschlange" (The rattlesnake). It was produced by the German Ralf Hennings - he released several 12 inches with discotized John Carpenter tracks (Assault on Precinct 13, Christine, The Philadelphia Experiment and a LP with shorter versions) and some other great italo-esque tracks, almost all a must have! Check them out!

Desire - I Can't Hold You Live in San Diego 2009
Amici, this is atmospheric italo-based new wave synth disco pop from one of the greatest hopes in pop music today, Desire from the amazing and highly recommended label Italians do it better.
I happened to be at their concert yesterday and talked to Johnny Jewel who is also the mastermind behind Glass Candy and Chromatics - great buddy, great talent, great passion - buy their records!
Live, all his bands sound a lot more dynamic, tracks are faster, you can dance to them easily, so don't miss them when they get close to where you live. This is how italo can sound today - like a (danceable) soundtrack to the next David Lynch movie.
The sound quality of this video really is bad, but you can get the energy...i love this track...enjoy.

Hohokam - Harlequin tears 1985
Powerful high energy track from the band with the strange name, produced by Gary Numan, released on his NUMA label. It was a success in the UK, but on the European mainland not very much known. Turn up the volume and wave your arms up and down while going two steps back and forth - this is the new wave HiNRG dance! ;)
